Why I'm Running
I want to be your Governor. I want to be your Governor because I believe the people of the state of Michigan deserve better jobs, better schools, better lives. My Leadership in Lansing will help create an environment that will enable this state to be rebuilt and reinvigorated.
For too long, the usual crowd in our state's capital has not led, it has misled. That failure to lead has driven us to higher taxes, fewer jobs, lower pay and a lower standard of education for our children.
Starting today, with your help and God willing, all that changes. Working together, we, the proud, hardworking people of Michigan are going to rebuild our state - a state that was once respected around the world as the "arsenal of democracy" because it out-produced, and out-innovated every other state in America.
