Rep. Pete Hoekstra calls for end of Michigan Business, non-homestead taxes, says support for health-care bill fraying

HOLLAND -- The state needs to bring more investment in by ending the
Michigan Business Tax and doing away with the 18-mill, non-homestead tax on
second homes and investment properties, U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra said Monday.

The Holland Republican, a gubernatorial candidate for 2010, shared the
comments at the Holland Area Chamber of Commerce's 17th annual December
"Meet Pete" breakfast at Evergreen Commons senior center.
