Holland, Mich. - Republican gubernatorial candidate and U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra today announced a new television ad "Truth." This 30 second ad will begin airing statewide starting today. While opponents have spent millions of dollars in increasingly desperate negative attacks, Hoekstra has run a straight-forward and positive campaign focused on improving Michigan's economy to create jobs. This ad is a chance for voters to hear the truth about Hoekstra's record, without the distortions or misleading facts.



"Throughout this campaign, I have focused on staying positive and finding ways to improve Michigan's economy,
Hoekstra said. "While others may attempt to mislead voters or distract from their own records, I am proud to share my record with the people of Michigan. I have a 95 percent voting record in Congress, a 100 percent lifetime rating from the National Right to Life and a Straight A rating with the NRA. Michigan needs a real leader and as governor I will be ready to go to work from day one."
